Spring Color Walk

Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and delight the children in your care by going on a spring color walk together!


You'll need:
• color cards or chart (optional)
What to do:
1. Invite your children to get ready to go on a fun "look for spring colors walk" with you.
2. Talk about the colors that you might see. Include pastels; pink, tan, and gray as well as the usual red, white, blue, yellow, orange, green, purple, black and brown. Make a color chart with crayons if you wish.
3. Ask your children to find objects on your walk that are specific colors.
4. Challenge them to connect their "finds" to the springtime. For example: the white puppy running through the garden, gray clouds bringing spring showers, and so on.
5. When you get back home, try to remember what you saw of each color and how it related to spring.
